Chrysler Clays
Rules, Regulations
League:
Location:
The league will shoot at Detroit Sportsman’s Congress every other Tuesday
evening starting at 4:00pm. You will be able to begin your rounds as late as
8:00pm.
Cost:
Your league dues pay for the banquet/refreshments, prizes, trophies, and your
first hat and name tag. (there is a $1.00 fine for each if you forget your hat
or name tag)
The skeet rounds are paid to Detroit Sportsmen’s Congress. We are required to pay for all twelve rounds on the first night. The DSC will hold our punch cards and subtract the rounds as we shoot them. The DSC opens up for the Chrysler Skeet League only, every other Tuesday, but their regular hours for make-up rounds and practice are Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. You will be able to shoot any unused punches at the banquet or before the end of the league. Any unused punches will be forfeited after the banquet. (if you are a DSC member your punches will not be forfeited)
Teams:
The teams will be two shooters and the team partners will be randomly drawn
on the first night of league.

Team handicap for the first 150 targets will be calculated from the first 150 targets.
Team handicap for the first 200 targets will be calculated from the first 200 targets.
After the first 200 targets are shot the team handicap is indexed and calculated by going back to the current 200 targets. (there is an example at the end)
Team handicaps for the shoot-off are the average handicap for the entire 300 targets.
If past members do not shoot the first 50 targets and do not make them up, their classification will remain the same as the last league.
Posting Scores:
All rounds should be shot on league night at the DSC; it is the shooters
responsibility to post their score on the sheet at the head table in the range
building on league night.
Make-Up Rounds:
If you can not shoot on league night, make up rounds can be shot at the DSC
or any other skeet range and the shooter is responsible to call in the scores before
noon of the following shoot. If the targets are not shot,
you will be penalized by subtracting 2 targets from your average. (It is not
necessary to turn in a copy of your score sheet) The DSC does not keep track of
scores or call them in; the shooters must make sure the scores get posted!
Shooting Ahead:
If you know that you will not be able to shoot on league night, you may shoot
ahead. Identify the rounds as, shot ahead, either on the score sheet or if you
call them in. There is no limit to how far ahead you may shoot.
Scoring:
The teams will receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for
a loss. The team with the most points in their division will be "Division
Champions" and will be in the shoot-off for "League Champions".
Shoot-Off:
All of the "Division Champions" will shoot-off against each other
and the winner will be the "League Champions". The Shoot-Off will be
50 targets, shot on the banquet night.
